3 Secrets for Keeping Middle School Girls Interested in STEM

I hated school so much when I was 12 that I scribbled my own picture out of the yearbook.
I struggled mightily and fell in with a crowd that was good at coming up with Bad Ideas.
If not for some positive forces in my life, I’m not sure what I’d be doing right now.
At TEDxAlpharettaWomen : SEEK 2020, I will share my own struggle with middle school social dynamics.
I'll also share secrets for helping girls' confidence and interest in STEM survive the tween and early teen years. I'm grateful to the adults who did that for me, because Sebastian and I use STEM skills and 3D thinking all the time with OctoGifts.
To learn what they did, and what you can do to help the girls in your life, join me on Nov. 21, 2020.
You’ll enjoy 12+ original TEDx talks months before anyone else, exclusive performances, a digital gift bag, and engaging live breakout sessions with the speakers and the community -- all in the comfort of your own home.
Early bird tickets are available as low as $15 through 9/20. Your purchase offsets video production and livestream costs and supports TEDxAlpharettaWomen's efforts to create a meaningful, high quality, interactive online experience. (This isn't a run-of-the-mill living room Zoom call!)
